Yani Martinelli was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1981. Musician, songwriter and music teacher. Now living in Madrid, she protects, rescues and cares for the abandoned and feral cats in her area together with her extensive feline family.
Yani first started making music with a garage band, ’The Sea Songs’, and then progressed to her own band called ’Navy Blue’ where she was vocalist, songwriter and played keyboard. She played with them at The Cavern Club in Liverpool and recorded many songs.
Yani sang with guitarist Alberto Arcangeli on his ’Hard Games’ and frequently played and collaborated with Spanish guitarist Juan Ferrari.
The she started her solo career in 2010 with the release of an EP ’Nonna in the Garden’.
